Satya Yoga Ashram, situated in Rishikesh Himalaya, is a traditional Yoga school with Yoga Alliance certification in India and overseas. Satya, meaning “truthfulness” in Sanskrit, is one of the social conduct of yogic lifestyle known as Yamas. The founder of the ashram, Satyanarayan, is a dedicated yoga practitioner and highly skilled yoga master who has been teaching yoga for several years. The teachings at Satya Yoga Ashram follow the traditions of Swami Sivananda and Swami Satyananda Saraswati and their vision of Yoga for world peace and harmony. The Yoga school offers a comprehensive study of Yogic philosophy and psychology, teaching methods, and lifestyle.
The primary aim of Satya Yoga Ashram is to empower students physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The four paths of Yoga, Bhakti Yoga (devotion), Karma Yoga (selfless action), Jnana Yoga (knowledge), and Raja Yoga (physical and mental practice of yoga), provide a strong foundation in the path of Hatha and Raja Yoga to enjoy the supreme bliss of being in a meditative state.
The approach of Yogic way of life is very simple, and anyone, regardless of age, physique, or walk of life, can benefit from it. The 200-hour course shares the key teachings of Asana (posture), Pranayama (breathing techniques), relaxation, diet, correct thinking, and meditation to bring balance to every aspect of one’s life. Satya Yoga Ashram is delighted to invite everyone to their retreat in Rishikesh, India, to reconnect with themselves in a lush environment with beautiful sunshine. The retreat offers a holistic yogic approach to conscious body movement (Hatha Yoga), meditation, pranayama, yoga nidra, and much more.
The accommodation for the retreat is surrounded by lush nature, seasonal flowers, and plants that enliven the prana within us. Satya Yoga Ashram also offers a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course for those who are interested in learning the traditional wisdom of Yoga but do not want to commit to a long period of study. During the 21-day course, the students will learn about traditional Himalayan Hatha Yoga and will study the theoretical and practical aspects of Asanas, Pranayama, Philosophy, Mudras & Bandhas, Kriyas, Adjustments, Alignments, Anatomy, and Meditation. The 10-day yoga retreat is perfect for beginners to experience a yogic lifestyle and to give them what could become a potential life-altering daily practice. The peaceful environment of the ashram will provide optimal conditions for managing and releasing stress and improving one’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in a safe space.
